Ten passengers kidnapped along Akure /Ikere road
There was Fracas yesterday 25th of June 2019, involving some Fulani men and some Benin indigenes after a woman was allegedly butchered by Fulani herdsmen at Okada Junction along Lagos – Benin expressway
According to reports, irate Benin youths in retaliation allegedly killed a Fulani man while other Hausa men in sight took their heels.
While along along Akure/ Ikere Ekiti road, ten Passengers including the driver of an eighteen seater bus have been abducted by unknown gunmen.
The deplorable condition of the road, according to eyewitnesses aided the abduction.
This incident is coming less than a week after the Nigerian Army launched an Anti Kidnapping drones to monitor both Ondo and Ekiti States
The bus was travelling to Ado-Ekiti from Akure before it was ambushed at one of the bad spots on the route.
Some of the occupants of the vehicle were taken away to unknown destination in the bush.
