According to the Police, the arrest followed a sustained and well coordinated operation by the Command’s Tactical teams led by the Officer in Charge of Anti Kidnapping Unit, SP Bulus R Musa.
The Police team announced that two members of the kidnap gang that abducted the Fire service boss and six others were arrested at about 8:00pm on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.
“The suspects namely, Blessing Bayo and Smart Alfred all of Arogbo, Ondo State were arrested at Ibafun along Ikorodu- Ijebu Ode Express Way, a boundary community with Ogun State and they all confessed to the commission of the crime.
Currently two single barrel guns were recovered from them as investigation is ongoing. Efforts are emplaced to arrest other fleeing members of the gang,” the Police said.
